Marissa and Adam

Marissa and Adam were really a lot of fun to work with. They were married in his parent's backyard and had a huge tent set up for the reception. We had a chance to sneak them away after dinner and take some really cool dusk photos. They were completely game to have some fun with us, and it turned out great!

Why Should I Book A Consultation? Can't I Just Look At Your Work Online?

  • Published June 27th, 2012 by Al Behnke

Whenever someone expresses interest in our wedding services, we ALWAYS recommend booking a consultation with us. Why? Because it's FREE and there's no commitment. No matter who you use for your wedding photography, it's always important to meet with your photographer beforehand. Your photographer really only has one chance to get it right, and the more comfortable you are with them, the easier its going to be for you.

Our consultations serve as a way for us and our clients to get to know each other in a very relaxed environment. For us, it's a means of getting to know a couple's personalities and styles and to determine exactly what services they're going to need on their wedding day. For the couple, it's a chance to ask questions and get a sense of how we can make their day as memorable and stress-free as possible. It also gives you the opportunity to look through wedding album samples and products and get a sense of all of the different ways that we can present wedding photos to you and your guests.

Above all, it helps you determine exactly WHAT you want and HOW you want to remember your wedding day!

Jack and Lori

Jack Paglini and Lori Bellah had the awesome idea of getting married in their own back yard in Palos Park. This was another case of the proximity of the ceremony and reception creating a very relaxed environment. They had a huge tent set up in their back yard, had a nice, intimate ceremony, and then danced all night in their back yard with their close friends and family.

Kristopher and Paige

Kristopher Brettingen and Paige Jarvie had a beautiful wedding at St. Clement's in Chicago and follwed it up with a reception at Cafe Brauer in Lincoln Park, which has a really great contemporary feel. We've been fortunate to be able to photograph Paige since she was a little girl, so to be asked to photograph her wedding was a true honor. There's just nothing cooler than being able to photograph an individual or family through the years and watch them grow up before your eyes!

Helder and Melissa

Yet another destination wedding! Melissa Melcher, and her husband, Helder Pires were married in Ludlow, MA. Helder's family is originally from Portugal, so it was very cool to get an insight into Portuguese wedding traditions. They followed up their ceremony with some fun photos in a local park before hosting a HUGE reception at the Portuguese Club of Ludlow.
