Ali & Scott

Had an AMAZING time photographing Ali and Scott's wedding in Southern Illinois. They had an beautiful ceremony at a local winery and Cindy caught this gem right after. They got a chance to play with some really beautiful light and I think it really captured the spirit of their big day. Congrats you two!

Brittany and Chris

We had so much fun working with Brittany and Chris. Brittany grew up across the street from our home studio and we've known her since she was just a little girl. She even worked for us for a short time! It was truly special to photograph someone that you were able to watch grow up. Congrats you two!

Sometimes black and white says it best! And it doesn't hurt that Kaile and Matt were amazing and up for anything! It's always such a treat to photograph a couple that is so relaxed and comfortable.

Why you should choose a PPA Photographer for your wedding photography

As high-end cameras have become easier and easier to purchase, there has been a tremendous uptick in weddings being photographed by amateur photographers. When you're looking for a photographer, it's crucial to remember how truly important your wedding day is. While a relative or friend with a nice camera is always an option, it's important to remember how much more a trained photographer can bring to your images on your big day.

The Professional Photographers Association of America (PPA), of which we are long-standing members, is a 26,000-person organization of some of the most highly-trained photographers from across the country. PPA photographers transcend the boundaries of photography. As professionals that are trained in not just how to use a camera, but also posing, lighting, and overall creativity, PPA photographers offer something that no one else can...a truly trained eye and mind. Professional photography isn't about gimmicks, or adding an Instagram-like filter to an average image to make it look cool. It's about capturing the image in the best possible way, with proper posing and lighting that makes you look your best on your wedding day.

Gillian and Brian

  • Published July 12th, 2013 by Al Behnke

Gillian and Brian were married on her family's vineyard near Leland, MI and had an amazing reception at a friend's farm overlooking Lake Michigan. Gillian's family and our family now go back 3 generations together, with my grandfather having photographed her family years ago.

Being asked to continue that relationship and photograph Gillian and Brian's wedding was a truly special moment that I can't put into words. It isn't often that you feel like a part of the family you're photographing when you do a wedding. But in this case, we truly felt like we were a part of their family and were honored that they chose us to capture their big day!

Nicole and Chaz

We had an amazing time photographing Nicole and Chaz! Their ceremony and reception was at a local venue in Frankfort called CD & Me. It has an awesome rustic, loft feel inside, perfect for a more casual, fun wedding experience. And to top it off, we got to do some fun outdoor work using CD & Me's great water features and beautiful grounds.

Keri & Francis

Keri and Francis had an awesome ceremony and reception at the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet in February. What a cool venue! So neat to find a hidden gem in an area we've photographed in before. The chapel was totally surprising because from the outside, the venue just didn't seem like it would have such a large ceremony space inside. Keri and Francis danced and partied with their nearest and dearest all night and had so much fun!
